For your face it is better to go with electrolysis because often people actually have reported a large increase in amount of hair and thickness of it after laser treatments. For other areas it is recommended to try a small patch with laser before you do a large area for the same reasons. Many people experience an increased growth instead of permanent removal. Electrolysis is on the other hand better for small areas and usually more effective if done correctly, however more painful. Also electrolysis is the only FDA approved permanent hair removal procedure.
